For drivers
Tap a card. Plug in. Go.
EV Street Co stations are owned by the property they sit in front of. There is no app, no account, and no membership.
Tap a contactless card or phone at the reader. Nothing to download, nothing to sign up for, no membership number to remember.
240 volts at up to 9.6 kW. Works with every non-Tesla EV. Tesla drivers need their own J1772 adapter, which we do not sell at the station.
Each station is priced by the owner of the property, so rates differ block to block. The rate you will pay is on the front of the unit before you tap.
How this works
Who you are actually paying
Worth knowing before you plug in.
The station belongs to the property owner, not to us. They bought it, they set the rate, and they keep the revenue. EV Street Co built and installed it, and we run the payment and keep the network up. We take a dollar per session plus ten percent of the charge, and the rest goes to them.
That is why rates vary between stations, and why a station on one block might be free for residents and priced at market on the next.
Driver questions
How do I pay?
Tap a contactless credit or debit card, or your phone, at the reader on the station. The rate is posted on the unit. You are charged for what you use.
Do I need an app?
No. Drivers do not need an app, an account, or an RFID fob. You tap a card and charge. Property owners use our app to set their own rate, but drivers never touch it.
What if my car will not charge?
Stop the session at the station and unplug. If you were charged and got no power, contact us with the station address and the time. We can see the session on our side.
Can I use a Tesla?
Yes, with your own J1772 adapter. Most Teslas ship with one. We do not sell or lend adapters at the station.
Is the space reserved for charging?
Not necessarily. Many of these stations sit on the public way, where the parking space is open to anyone. Check the posted signage at the station.
Refunds and faults
TBD: refund and fault policyA stated policy has to go here before launch: what happens when a station faults mid-session, when a vehicle refuses to charge, and how long a refund takes. A public page without one becomes a complaint magnet, and the property owner is the one who fields the complaint.
Problem with a station? Email hello@arclightcurb.comwith the station address and roughly when it happened.
